Yes, this is a custom, one-of-a-kind Collings DS2H (slope shoulder 12-fret) in mahogany instead of rosewood, built in 2000 as a special order item sold through Gruhn Guitars in Nashville. So, it has the wonderful tonal characteristics of mahogany with a spruce top, like a D1 Collings, but dressed up with herringbone trim around the top, ivoroid binding, diamonds and squares inlay in fingerboard, like a D2.
Guitar is in excellent shape with minimal signs of wear. Comes with OHSC. I expect to take delivery of this guitar in a few days and will have pics for those interested at that time. Thought I'd give you guys a crack at this guitar before going to eBay.
Selling for $2,300 plus shipping. Guitar retails for $100 more than a rosewood DS2H or about $3800, per Steve McCreary at Collings. Let me know if you want to check this out before it goes to auction. Email me at ernie@givemejesus.org
