Hi, I'm looking for a pre owned Collings C-10. Mahogany back & sides, spruce top. Long scale, straight bridge, deep body.

Deep body C-10? Does that make it a C-100 or are there other characteristics to a C-100 besides a deep body? I'm certain that the resident experts can help with this one.

Randy,
I wasn't quite sure if you were serious with the question. Anyway, a deep body C-10 is still a C-10 (as far as I know). I don't know of anything different about it (except for the extra depth) compared to a "standard" C-10. My deep body OM1A is the same as a standard OM1A. The only that would change would be the options if there are any. I have always lusted for a deep body C-10 and I know some forumites here have one.

eiko,
Sorry for the confusion. It was a serious question. I think I remember a thread that spoke of a C-100, which has a deeper body than the C-10. The C-100 is discontinued; I was wondering if the body depth was the only difference. I passed on a used C-100 a while ago. It may have been Cotten or Gryphon who had it and it didn't last two days. However, it was fate because missing the C-100 left me with cash to buy the black C-10 I now own and cherish.

My C-10 Deep Body differs from the standard C-10 in other ways than just the extra depth. Belly bridge as opposed to straight, square headstock as opposed to haircut, OM neck as opposed to standard C-10 neck and small teardrop pickguard as opposed to standard C-10 pickguard.

A C100 is a larger guitar than a C10 in every respect, and has not been in the Collings lineup for at least several years- maybe more like ten. The one that was up for sale was at Gryphon, and was gone in a flash.
