I am new here but not new to forums, you can find me on the Acoustic Guitar Forum as "taygull". I do have at least one solid reference on this board.

I'm selling this to make room for a Collings - I'll be honest I like the tone of the Huss better I just like the bling of the Collings! haha

Huss & Dalton in my mind build the absolute best sounding guitars in the world. If you are wanting to move into the world of a truly great hand built guitar you won't find a better choice.

This guitar not only has the beautiful typical Rosewood & Sitka sound but because of the construction you have a boost in the mids as well. I'd say it is like a great combination of Rosewood and Mahogany.

I've owned 2 Huss' and it is very difficult to tell which one I liked more. There is no question from a tone standpoint you just can't find better.

I had a Schertler Bluestick professional installed.

As you know with most small builders they do not allow much discounting from the dealers. This guitar would be around $3300 with the pickup. It includes a mint case. This guitar is in excellent condition with no noticeable dings or scratches.

I'll throw in 5 sets of your favorite strings, I've got it strung with Elixir Mediums.

I will be listing this on ebay as well.

My price is $2400 and I'll include ground shipping.

Here are the pics....

I can't belive you are selling this one. I have played many guitars in that range and you have a really nice H & D.

It must be a real nice Collings (most are) for you to move off of this one.

Good luck and I can't wait to play your new Collings.

Howdy,

This is FQMS' description and price of the instrument:
Standard Dreadnought (D) Models
Huss & Dalton's basic dreadnought features Honduras mahogany back/sides, radiused Sitka spruce top, maple body binding, black/white/black purfling and rosette, ebony peghead veneer, small dot fingerboard inlays, gold Schaller tuners and 4-3/8" sound hole.
Options:
The D-RH rosewood model has the depth and power of a dreadnought tempered with a boost to the mid-range tone and overall improved balance. Features specific to this model include Indian rosewood back/sides, herringbone purfling and rosette, rosewood peghead veneer and slotted squares fingerboard inlay.

H&D-DM Mahogany List $2,885.00
H&D-DRH Rosewood Herringbone List $2,985.00
I'm wondering what the difference is in yours that makes it cost so much more. I'm interested in the guitar, but curious as to the price difference, thanks.

Thanks,

As noted above my price includes what it would cost to include the professionaly installed pickup. This brings the total to "around $3300". As you know very similiar to Collings dealers are not suppose to discount more than 10% or risk losing the right to sell.

I do have it on ebay with a buy it now of $2450 and starting price of $2100.

My price falls right in line with previous sold models in this condition.

I am out of town and in a location with poor internet service.

The best thing to do is email me if you have any questions.
