Tom, piece by piece ...

1) Yes, I bought the used OM1GSB. I sent a real good picture of it to a buddy of mine and his response was, "if I had that guitar I wouldn't even have to play it ... I could just look at it and be perfectly content". It is beautiful and has an extremely warm, sweet sound. I definitely have a Jones for small-bodied guitars.

2) Which brings me to your maple C10. I love my DS1A. It is extremely powerful and I love the 12-fret/slothead look. And I am perfectly happy to keep it. But the fact of the matter is that I don't need two dreads. Actually I guess "need" should never enter into it, since I'm an Accounting prof and I rarely play OUTSIDE my living room // home studio. But you know what I'm saying. All else equal I'd rather have another small-body at this point.

3) So ... if you can find me a buyer for this bad boy, I will give extremely serious consideration to taking that C10 off your hands.

Public Service Announcement: Anyone who buys my DS1A could very well be helping Tom keep the revenuers off his back. You'll get a great instrument and a warm feeling inside to boot ... a fix for your G.A.S. with an altruistic twist.

I'm leaving town for a month in two weeks, so don't delay. Smile

Pics, again, are at

Still shooting for $3200.

Thanks, Mike

Bumping the price down to $3,100. I'll still cover shipping.

This price is firm. I love the guitar so if it remains in the inventory, that's cool. Just sort of angling for another small-body given my circumstances.

Still considering small-bodied trades as well.

Thanks

Mike: to be clear, we've paid the feds, sweethearts that they are, but we're a little closer to the bone than I'm comfortable with. The wolf is not at the door, but he's in the zip code. A C10 offer is gonna have to be full freight. No fire sales. It would be 51 or better new, and this ain't your average bear. Ask Steve McCreary or Kim Sherman. But conversation can't hurt. Something's gotta go.

Thanks Tom. I figured you had paid the feds ... just trying to lobby a little for your cause. Smile

And I understand about the C10. If I move the DS-1A I am likely to be interested. So we'll see what happens there.

I also have a Gibson B.B. King Signature model electric (2006) that I am considering parting with, but I didn't figure this was the appropriate forum for that. $2700 new, I'd take $2,000 for it. So if you know anyone with a bent for that particular sound, point 'em to me.

With both of these instruments, whatever happens is cool. I love them both. But a small part of my inventory is always temporary ...

Thanks

Guys, I've played this guitar a lot over the past couple of days and I've come to the conclusion that it is one that I would very much regret parting with. So I'm pulling it from the list.

Tom, best of luck with your sales. If I manage to find some extra money this summer, I'll be in touch about the Deluxe.

Thanks.

Surprising how many of us have our toes over the cliff edge but never do jump. Bungeeeeeee! I'm only selling out of necessity/responsiblity. Reality does occasionally bite.
