Quincys Guitars in austin has a great used one in as new condition, but w/ 1 11/16 nut. Eminently playable though, and great sounding. Regards, ML.

I have an SJ with a 1 3/4 neck for sale, but it ain't maple. Pictures at Sonoma Valley Music. Angelic tone, but I had to sacrifice it on the altar of the Alien OM. Brazilian's basically a two for one thing. Sometimes it's worth it, sometimes not. There was a loooooong thread hashing over that very subject. Anyway, had to take a shot. Only maple I have is C10 deluxe, adi top. NFS. Probably.

Rainy, I do believe it is the same one at Quincy's. It's a good sounding and playing one, for sure! The 1 11/16 is very playable for a fingerstylist (like me), and I do think it's because of the round and full neck profile. Not only does this one do great at swing rhythm, but it's bell clear for traditional and modern fingerstyles as well, and is a great strummer too. My guess is that it would flatpick well in any style, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it for Gypsy jazz leads too. A wonderfully multivalent instrument, the SJ, and Pat has a good'un! Someone go get it! I have waay too much already..... ML.
