I realize that this is a long shot, but I am looking for a used case for an SJ. Hopefully one of you has purchased a Calton for your SJ and would like to sell your original case. Condition isn't important.
You can contact me at wdenningATcoxDOTnet or post to this thread.
Kenny I'm interested too but glad to line up behind Warren since he posted first. I have a '96 SJ but not the original case. Are they both for sale, and what is the condition of the older one? Original Collings cases, I assume? Thx, ML.
My sitka/rosewood SJ is also a 96. It's case is not the same as my newer 2006 which has a case similar to what Collings puts out now. The older case has a blue interior and a black matte tolex finish. Otherwise, it is very similar to the cases made today in terms of durability and build quality.
I would be selling just one case since I ordered a Calton a few months ago and was just waiting for the Calton to arrive before putting this up for sale.

Kenny, what you describe is exactly the case that is on my SJ. Thanks for this. I'll keep what I've got then, unless/until I run into a used Calton... .. Mark.
