Hello all. I HATE TO DO THIS!! But, man, I'm strapped for cash right now in this economy and with a home back in Texas I can't sell. I'm going to have to let two items go. They are currently listed on eBay because I'd like to sell them ASAP. I'm going to have to downsize to a less expensive guitar.
1. My 2006 D1AV varnish - yes, the one I bought at the first of the year. It's listed at $4,250.
Those are beyond reasonable prices, Ernie, and I wish you the best. I'm having the same symptoms, except we can't even contemplate selling our house because no one can get credit. We can't get credit to refinance, even though we have a credit score of nearly 800 and have not missed a mortgage or rental payment in 38 years. Guitars, my friend, are the least of our worries. Would that I had the money to buy that guitar from you. I know it's amazing. Our children are far too old to sell into white slavery. My once Adonis like physique is now pear shaped, preventing me from taking up a modeling career. Thank God one of our sons works at a great winery and brings home a free bottle almost every day. You'd be surprised how well zinfandel goes with frosted mini wheats. best tom
I hope that zin is a side dish (or dessert) and not on top of the mini wheats. I can hear the '60s commercial now - "good with milk or cream or white zinfandel", right before the ad for Lark cigarettes. Huh?? And I suppose you should have saved some of the cash from your modeling career - who knew it wouldn't last forever?
congrats. the only ones in the family who made money with their looks were our oldest daughter and our oldest son- each was in a national commercial and made a ton of money (relatively- like ten grand in two days). Me? Not happening. Ever. tom
the bold, berry-like flavors round out the sweetness of the frosted side, and the acidity blends well with the understated wheat side. And it has alcohol in it. I'm kidding. So far. tom
