I'm trying to diversify a little into Goodall for fingerstyle and the only Collings I have that I might be willing to part with is my OM1-GSB.

I bought this guitar from Kevin at Hill Country ($3200 a few months ago) and then paid to have it setup by Tony Nobles. It plays like a dream and some might say it looks even better. I'm pasting a link to a picture below and can send more for anyone who is interested.

Price is $3,100 + shipping. This is not a firesale, as I do have a couple of empty slots that the Goodall could rest in. But if I can cut the cost a bit, all the better.

Thanks
Mike

It's 1 11/16.

Still a little up in the air on the Goodalls, but I've at least narrowed it to a Grand Concert, probably cutaway, with a redwood or Port Orford cedar top (more flexible on backs).

That's my current thinking, anyway.

Thanks

Just gorgeous. If I weren't already OM'ed to the max....with the Goodall, I'd think koa/orford. To my ear,the rosewoods tend to be awash with overtones, and I like clarity when I can get it. With my syntax, that's rare.

Yeah, I'm currently thinking Koa or Myrtlewood with the Orford. That's pretty much what it has been narrowed to.

So we'll see what happens with the OM. It is a beauty.

The OM1-GSB sat me down and had me play it for about an hour this afternoon. After that sweet German spruce tone finally stopped ringing in my ears, all I could hear were extremely faint (but clear, nonetheless) overtones whispering "you are a complete moron for even considering trying to sell me."

So ... the Goody may come, but it won't be at the expense of this one. I apologize to those of you who were tempted.

Sir, as one who has tip-toed up to the precipice more than one time with more than one guitar (most recently the Alien OM from Blazer-Henkes), you have my support and my sympathy. Congratulatios on cheating the gallows, at lest for the moment. thanks tom
