Adirondack Spruce Top
East Indian Rosewood Back & Sides
Square Martin Style Headstock
(with Brazilian Rosewood Overlay)
1 3/4 Nut Width
Nickel Waverly Tuners

Mass Street Music described this guitar as a mini-dreadnaught. It has a slightly elongated body compared to an OM and it also a deeper body. It’s a very versatile guitar. Selling it to pay down some debt which has got out of hand.

It's unlike the standard CM in that it looks like a Martin...with square headstock, herringbone trim, aging toner...Tone wise it's very traditional sounding. It definitely cuts with the Adirondack top and is a strong responsive finger style guitar but it’s also a very warm sounding guitar when strummed. (Much warmer than a Collings IMO). It's a real nice guitar.

I bought this guitar over a year ago from Jim Baggett at Mass Street Music. I'm not sure if it was made in 2006 or 2007. Check their website for photos, it’s the same guitar. If you’re seriously interested, I’d be happy to take some additional shots and get them to you.

ps. fwiw I recorded a very simple finger- picking tune on my new record with this guitar and it sounds pretty darn good in front of a mic.

For what it's worth, upon hearing (a month or so ago) the "simple finger-picking tune" to which Brother Dave refers, I emailed him specifically to ask which guitar he was using.

And I might as well plug the record ... "Stories from Snake Hill", available on iTunes and elsewhere ...

Smile

Love, love, love the tone on that guitar. And Dave is a straight-up cat as well.

Good luck with the sale,

Mike

Not interested in buying your guitar (even though it sounds very nice), but I did listen to the sound clips from your record and they sound fantastic! Excellent work -- I'm still listening to "Chasing Ghosts" -- new stuff is happening . . .

Mike & Redavide... I've heard both of you play and my skills pale in comparison. Thank you.

Dave Murphy is a stand up guy and I'll vouch for him all the way. We met here on the Forum and even though we've never laid eyes on each other he's Real People.

I bought a OM3Mh from him and it was everything he said if not more. It's my all time favorite small bodied acoustic guitar.

Fear not if you're thinking of dealing with this fellow Forumite. Great Singer Song Writer to boot to.

Best,
Papple

Another stellar guitar (I've played this one too) for killer price from a fair and honest guy. These seem like good times to be buying if you're one of the few that has lots of cash lying around...

Whoops ,sorry . I didn't really take a good look at the shots , especially the back . Well you'll just have to ask Dave to send you some photos if you want to know what it looks like !!
