For sale is my nearly new Tony Vines Bella. I purchased this guitar in May 2008 from Different City Guitars in Santa Fe, NM, with the intention of working on my fingerstyle technique. That plan, alas, has not happened and I’m coming to realize I may have to live life as a flatpicker after all… Hence the sale – no reason to keep this gorgeous instrument in the case, unplayed any longer.

This particular model has many fine upgrades from his already well-equipped “base” model, as follows…

Tony Vines” Pricing as per his website:
• Standard “Bella” Model: $5400
• German Spruce Top Upgrade: $450
• African Blackwood Back & Sides: $1500
• Venetian Cutaway: $550
• Soundhole Paua: $150
• Armrest Bevel: $800
• Total cost direct from Tony: $8850

The only issue I can find on the guitar that was there when I received it is a very miniscule impression on the lower back near the tailblock. It is a pinhead size impression the barely dimpled (but didn’t break) the finish. It will not photograph because it is so unnoticeable and it is quite difficult to spot with the naked eye. I mention it for full disclosure. Outside of this, the guitar is “as new”. I have played it for a total of one hour.

Please note, I tried hard to get the photos to accurately reflect the beauty and condition of the guitar but this proved difficult due to lighting, etc.! The back and sides are just stunning visually and the pix do not show it well. Any spot or reflection is just due to the camera and is not the guitar itself.

Terms
I purchased this instrument new for $8K and will offer it for sale for $old to include Fedex-Saver (3-day) shipping. Please add PayPal fees if you need to use that method of payment. I’ll happily accept personal check or certified check as long as you can wait for it to clear my account. Price also includes OHSC, as well. May consider trades for like quality instruments, i.e. Collings D-type, OM, Slope Dreads, etc.

Technical Details
String spacing at nut: 1.75”
String spacing at saddle: 2.31”
Body depth at tailblock: 4.63”
Body depth at neck: 3.63”
Body width at upper bout: 10.882”
Body width at lower bout: 15.882”

Please contact me at mgrier@cisco.com for further details. I am relatively new here but have been a long time lurker. I buy/sell/trade my own instruments regularly on tgp.com and on ebay (over 500 transactions @ 100% rating)under the same userid.

Best,

Mike

Great guitar at a great price .Can't understand you buying a guitar for 8500$ to learn to play fingerstyle , couldn't you learn on a dread first ? Anyway ,if I had 6500$ lying about I'd willingly take it off your hands !!
