A very fine Guitar here. I recently bought it from Acoustic Music Works. You can still see great pictures on Acoustic Music Works site under recently sold Used Collings. It's the one that a husband had to sell due to pressure from his wife. You'll see it, the only 0001A SB on his site. I won't bore you with my pictures being a hillside musician as Norman once said I won't struggle with the technology to get the photos off my camera. Steve does such a great job just go to Acoustic Music Works site and see for yourself.

I am raising funds to buy a 1945 000-28 from the original Golden Era and those puppies don't come cheap. I refuse to part with my vintage boxes so I guess this beauty has to go.

This 0001A is a killer guitar. Steve was kind enough to let me play pretty much every nice guitar in his shop and he has a ton. To my ears and 35 years of flatpicking under my belt this 0001A had the warmth of an older guitar. I own 15 very fine vintage Martins and Gibsons so I have a pretty good sense for hearing that old warm guitar sound. And of course the Collings SB is a sight to behold. This was hands down the best Collings of the gaggle that I played that day (IMHO). I can't stand that new guitar sound and this guitar felt like an old comfortable shoe the moment I picked her up. One of those rare new guitars you don't want to put down.

But honestly she has spent most of her time in the case cause I guess I'm just a vintage nut. I purchased a '45 00-18 around the same time....guess which guitar is getting all the attention.
