Such memories are treasures. To think fine guitars open the doors to these opportunities makes me love them all the more.Allen, you are a true "Southern Gentleman" That gracious hospitality of yours allows those around you to be at their best. To all our new friends, thanks and what fun to be wandering around in a forest of tall guitars with pals. Joan and I had big expectations ,, they were far exceeded. A humbling tour of the shop.Every step an attempt at the best acoustic guitar/mandolin possible. Just real proud to know you all and to have been a part of it. May we all strum the same tune again. Till then see you here. Fred
Fred (Man of a thousand songs)- Glad you guys got back ok. It was a real pleasure meeting you and Joan. She was so nice and you are one talented player/singer. Not only did you keep the jams going, you encouraged everyone to join in and/or jump into a solo (whether we liked it or not ), which was great.
Thanks for everything.

You guys just have to come back to Texas for the next one, it was too much fun!. Fred, when I first saw you singing with your grey Stetson on, I just knew it was a reincarnated "Hank Williams". Ace, I loved your CD, I think I like the Bossa tune the best... Fred are you going to buy that CJ... do I need to send it to you C.O.D.?
Victor, Glad you like the CD. It was a pleasure meeting you. Anyone who has a Collings archtop has to be a friend of mine. Next time you'll have to bring it for me to "test drive".

Hey Ace, Hey Victor. Thanks for the notes. Daydreamed about Texas all day. Missed you guys while I played guitar just now. Such comraderie from appreciation of what we consider to be great guitars. When next we meet lets really swap some leads and fills. Whoever reads this there is a sitka cj hanging on the wall at Kevins. It compared very favorably with my well hammered five year old d2ha. Whew, pretty hard to walk away from that particular guitar. Ace, some of your left hand chord positions should not be attempted without standby medical personnel. I am trying to get my pinky and ring fringer to go there and they say " are you kidding". Wasn't that just a real good weekend? take care of yourselves,, Fred
We did get to the San Antonio missions. Also few armadillo tracks between there, canyon lakes and San Marco. Thank you for the plan, David. When we travel we like to set some time just to get lost. That cj is still hitting me pretty hard right between the ears. You guys know what I mean. The deal is ,, I don't have to own all of em it makes me happy to know they exist. Played another nice d2h ,a crisp braz.d35 and a new d28 at the jam at my house last night.Looking forward to when next we meet. Fred
