I think you are right, David. Just more of the same. I think in the future we are going to put more focus on the various jams and workshops. I think we'll have just enough structure in the planning so that people have an idea of what is happening when, but we'll remain flexible for changes in the schedule. I'll probably try to identify eating places a little better next time too. I didn't do a very good job of scoping out restaurants in Wimberley beforehand. We might even do some sort of jam at the Salt Lick or somewhere like that next year. That might be a good thing to take the family to. I think we should go back to having the big group breakfast before the tour as well. That way we can all meet and visit before the tour and arrive at the factory en masse.

Anyway, it'll all work out however it works out. No worries.

Allen

How about some regional Collings gatherings... Could be a lot of fun even without the plant tour. Perhaps that would give more forumites a chance to gather a little closer to home and easier on the wallet?

Just a thought....

Absolutely! There's nothing to stop you guys from doing just that. I'd recommend you have them near Collings dealers who usually keep a good selection of Collings guitars and mandos on hand. You might even be able to get a dealer to sponsor it to some degree like hosting workshops or something like that.

I would love to go to the Texas gatherings; but between the job and 4 kids at home, it doesn't seem in the cards. On the other hand, if there are any Collings players and owners in the NY Metro area, I would love to go to a gathering and play and check out other peoples Collings!
