Hi guys,

Last weekend I attended an intensive guitar workshop with Martin Simpson. Wow !!!! Anyway I took both my Collings slot heads 002H and 0002H which a lot of people fell in love with ! Most could not believe how much sound the smaller 002H produced.

I did get to play both of Martin's Sobells - those guitars are frankly unbelievable but...very, very expensive and there is a long waiting time if you order. All in all I was very pleased with both my babies and how they held up.

The workshop, was fantastic and I highly recommend it as a total in-depth guitar experience. Martin is a totally brilliant player and he played a great deal for us. It is quite something to experience a player of his calibre in a small, intimate setting. And, at the end of a piece you can say 'hey, that fiddly bit you did in the middle, how exactly do you do that ?' He then goes over it slowly and as often as you want.

keep pickin'

Ian
