David, I don't know if anybody would be interested, but I'd be happy to host a jam/cookout/beer/wine tasting at my house on the Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon of the gathering. Let me know if y'all want to do that. I live less than 10 miles from Collings in southwest Austin.

Allen, sounds excellent. Let's wait and see what KDD lines up for us - you know how the guys he works with often wait till the last minute to commit and schedule. But we will need to fill the rest of Saturday, and you do have a great deck for jamming. THANKS

One pitfall of planning anything - it all makes perfect sense to me.

2006 is right - just 2 months from today!

Folks, I just got home from our monthly jam at Quincy's and I've got to tell you you will have a blast at this jam during the Gathering. Pat is such a fantastic host and you never know who will drop by. I can just about guarantee you there will be some folks from Collings at the Gathering jam. It is really a lot of fun. I hope to see many of you there during the Gathering jam.

My plane gets in about noon on Friday. I will rent a car and go directly to The Salt Lick. Should I miss you guys there, I will go on to Collings (after picking up a sanwich to go, of course). Lucas, my son, will probably miss the tour becasue he is working in San Antonio at a gig that day. He'll join us when he can.

I am planning on bringing the '93 Clarence White.

Just got word that a good friend of mine, Steve Bond who is a luthier here in Salem, Oregon, will be joining us this year. Steve's a great picker and a great human being.
