Hello fellow forumites--

Don't know how many of you are in Dallas or the surrounding area, but Siobhan Quinn and I will be performing at Uncle Calvin's Coffeehouse, an acoustic music institution, this Friday, July 25. We'd love to see you at the show, and I'd love to have you introduce yourself as a Collings Forum member to us if you can attend. Info at www.unclecalvins.org for the gig, and about us at www.dreamersloversandoutlaws.com.
I'll have my "standard" CJSB with me (I don't check the Varnish in the belly of the airborne beast), a very interesting Beard Reonator, and a Veillette Gryphon High 12(a wonderful little guitar that's sort of a "cheater mando" I guess). It's not a guitar concert--we are more in the singer/songwriter vein, with some blues, and some more Celtic things...as you would expect with a "Siobhan." She is, btw a world class singer.

OK, more than you needed to know...hope to see at least a couple of you there.

Hey Michael--

Thanks. We had a great time at Calvins, then spent a week teaching at Swannanoa Gathering in NC.

Now in Colorado, getting ready to teach at Rocky Mountain Song School. If any of you do songwriting, the Song School is really special. I attended for about a decade, and finally graduated to be one of the instructors...but I am also a learner. Every year is rich. (equal time--so is Swannanoa if you are in the East...and the songwriting instruction is part of Contemporary Folk week...which runs concurrently with guitar week...which is really amazing in its own right).
