Guitar, Etc. is also a Collings dealer. I'm going to try to make it to at least one of these events.

Nice sounding show at Guitars Etc last night.

Here is a heads up if you go see him play. He has taken to playing sitting on a short chair. So get to the shows early and sit up front, or you may just see the top of his head.

Still, it was some very nice playing.

Saw the clinic today. Very personable fellow and a lot of fun to watch and listen to.

I may have to check out one of his actual teaching clinics!

Didn't make it myself, but you are right, he's very personable. He's even taken time to respond to my e-mails before. How many do that?

I was at the clinic also. We need some forum gang signs to flash, so we know when other forumites are present.

Lucky guy....you live there so get to easily go to all of the cool clinics that Guitars, Etc host.

For me, on a good day with no traffic or bad weather it is a good 60 minutes + to get there.

I did see a nice house for sale on the lake for 1.5 million that would be mine if I could just pick the right 6 numbers!

Do you guys remember what type of pickup system Pete said he was using?

Was it a fishman eclipse matrix or was it something else?

I ripped this off from his website:

COLLINGS OM1 GUITAR equipped with a FISHMAN ELLIPSE BLEND pickup. The controls are mounted inside the sound hole of the guitar so I can blend the microphone and pickup and control the overall volume very quickly. The best thing is that I didn’t have to have my guitar cut or altered in anyway to have this system installed. The pickup controls do have problem adhering to the guitar so you’ll need a pro to install it with some seriously adhesive glue.

I play through an AER Compact 60 amp that I really love. I take it everywhere I go to help maintain consistency in my sound… plus I’ll always have at least one good monitor with me.
