Please join me in thanking our own Fred Coates (aka, bluegrasd2ha) for agreeing to preset a bluegrass guitar workshop at the 2005 Forum Gathering. This will be an approximately 2 hours event held on Saturday afternoon between the HCG/Quincy's inventory showcase and the songwriting/guitar clinic sponsored by HCG. Fred is going to show us the basics of bluegrass rythym and lead. This will be a hands-on workshop so bring your dreadnought. Again, thank you, Fred, for doing this. I'm really looking forward to it.

Can one attend the Bluegrass workshop if one's guitar is non-dread? Hmmm, one might have to acquire a dread to be "in".

Hey gang,,All guitars and skill levels are welcome at this event. In fact it will be a great help to have those with mandolins,dobros,banjos, or,? chip in. Perhaps we could tune some up from the shop there? I'm thinking a very informal look at chord number progressions, guitar runs, intros, outtros. Skills to use if you are down and out in a strange town and need to make afew bucks busking on the sidewalk. pretty much just bring your fingers. Fred
