If we hold our 4th annual Fall gathering, it's time to start making some plans. emandnate's dad and I are willing to get to work, but we'd like to see how many people before we really get into it. Last year's gathering was a lot of fun, but the turnout was a little low. We'd like a strong committment and good turnout to make any work done by possible hosts extremely worth-while.

I'd like to propose the first weekend of September, October or November. If memory serves, Wimberly has a "Market Day" celebration - outdoor shopping and craft fair - the first weekend of every month. Weather around here in early fall can get anywhere from a little warm to spectacular. Given enough folks from the forum, we'd work on a factory tour, jams, workshops, open mikes, mini-concerts, maybe an afternoon for the families at a great local swimming hole ... and any other ideas would be welcome as well.

So let me know if you're interested, and which weekend would be best. I'll do some counting and figuring, and if things look good, I'll pick a weekend, seek strong committments for attendance, then get busy on some really cool events for us.

So who's with me?

David

Well, I'm obviously in.

I was disappointed to not be able to make it last year, so I'm hopeful that we can have enough folks interested to move ahead this year.

If you're like me and you missed last year's gathering, this is a request for you to commit early and join us this fall.

I also hope that repeat offenders from last year are well represented to corrupt us newbies.

I really want to take a factory tour sometime...a long, detailed tour...maybe a couple of days of meddling around the factory. And the Salt Lick BBQ sounds pretty inviting too. Smile

Hello,
I'm new to the forum and very excited to find this place. I own a '93 D2H and a '03 D1H. I'd love to make the trip to the gathering. Thanks in advance!
