So, did anyone attend this fine gathering? I did. I really enjoyed the stellar Blues & Roots Workshop headed by Steve with Kenny Sultan & Stephan George. I met a lot of nice people and a couple of nice Collings C10s!

Yeah, I played in the New Folk Competition....it's a great festival, I go there most every year...but boy did it rain. RAIN! Once, 3 inches in about 45 minutes. Think Woodstock in the Texas Hill Country.

Hey Nick!
Larry here - I certainly enjoyed your playing at the Steve James workshop - as well as the tone of the excellent C10SB you were slinging. Did you make it to the Collings factory prior to returning to Cali?

And let me second the positive review of the Kerrville Blues/Roots workshop. It's a great time for players of all levels.

I'm sure glad I missed the rain! I was there 5/29-5/31 and it was mostly dry. Larry, I was hoping you'd respond. Yeah, I made it to Collings, but the following day. I cut out of class early to go but over the phone the nice people at Collings suggested I go the following morning. I was going to go back to class, but my motel bed was calling me.

The next day, Mr. McCreary told me I had to leave my baby with him for a couple weeks. It was hard, but I know it's in good hands. Thanks for the compliments. If my C10 sounds half as good as yours, I'm a happy man! You didn't tell me about the OM1. Wink
