So, what weekend in September would work best for everyone? Labor Day weekend (that'd be September 3 and 4) or later in the month? I think I'd prefer later in the month myself. How does September 17 and 18 sound?

Allen, I'm good any weekend except Labor Day. I'll probably bring a couple of others with me. The B&B idea sounds interesting. -Will-

Why don't we go ahead and set September 17-18 as the dates then? We'll do the factory tour on Friday, September 17, and put together some kind of workshop down in Wimberley for Saturday, September 18.

The B&B idea is intriguing. I don't about the cost though. It could be expensive to do something like that. Kevin, any ideas on a place there in Wimberley where we could do this?

I'll check on the B&Bs here. From the people you've heard from, is there any way you can get me a rough ballpark number of people? How many people will bring their significant others? Who's willing to share a room, etc.

I'll see what I can come up with.

It looks like the folks at Collings are going to have a conflict with Sept 17-18. How would October 1-2 work for everyone? Also, if you think you might be attending please post here as part of this thread or send me an email at allenwhite@austin.rr.com.

Thanks,
Allen

I don't think Oct 1-2 is going to work either. Stay tuned. I'll nail down a date soon. Smile

Haven't been here for a while, and look what I'm missing -- Count me in as well. I have absolutely no excuse other than time and no money for not having been to Hill Country Guitars before, and now I have a great excuse to get there. I'd probably skip the B&B though - less than an hour to my own bed from Wimberly. Gotta save for that next guitar!

Any weekend discussed would probably work for me.

My apologies for not getting back on this sooner, but I've just not had the time to deal with it lately. What's more it really doesn't look like I'm going to have time to deal with it going forward. If someone else would like to volunteer to organize the forum gathering for this fall that would be great. Otherwise, I don't think we're going to have one. I'm sorry I can't follow through on organizing the gathering, but work and family commitments are taking all of my time these days.

If one of you would like to take over organizing the gathering drop me an email and I'll tell you basically what needs to happen.

Regards,
Allen

Don't despair - I'll gather some information and make some phone calls so we can get together again. I even have a line on a really great porch we may be able to gather and play on...
