Steve McCreary thought we might be interested in this show Friday night - he says it's only about 10 minutes from Wimberly

So, what is the schedule for Saturday during the day? Has anything been set yet?

Grammy Winner Tim O'Brien with Danny Burns in my shop 2-3:30. It was last minute, but thanks to help from Steve McCreary we pulled it off. See you then.

Oh my gosh! I was pretty excited about tomorrow...now I'll never get to sleep. I can't wait for this weekend.

Tim is one of my favorite musicians and singers of all time.

Kevin, you are truly the man!

Schedule posted under FINAL SCHEDULE, and it's still a little up in the air - if Joe calls me tonight, I'll edit the post. Otherwise, we'll decide at lunch.

emandnatesdad called me on my cell phone this evening to tell me about this. I thought he said Don O'Brien. My wife asked who had called (we were coming back from dinner) and I told her it was David going on about some guy who was going to be down in Wimberley Saturday. But Tim O'Brien!? Holy shiite, Kevin! You and Steve have outdone yourselves. Man, I might have to start talking better about you guys when someone asks me what I think about you. Smile

I was so pumped last night I was probably stammering. I said "Tim 'freakin' O'Brien!" if I remember correctly. I'm still stunned.

I'm heading out right now. See you guys at the Salt Lick.

Wow!! You guys are in for a time. Do you suppose a tall funny looking nearly used up ol geezer with a guitar can hitchhike some jet plane to Hill Country Texas? Flick a rib for me at the lick, snuffle some wood at the factory, pass them beauties all way around the jam, make Allen sing harmony. Dang,, sure would like the memories. See you down the road. Fred

Dale and I decided about 1:00 am this morning that we need to have a West Coast forum gathering next year. You guys figure out when and where and I'll do my best to be there!

Howdy Gang. Collings is one of the sponsors at Wintergrass music festival. Several stores display their guitars.Perhaps we could work something into that. Volunteer to help with manning a booth ,or set up ,or just help folks handle the guitars. It is not all Bluegrass. Fingerpicking and electrics would be more than welcome.Anyway its three days with thousands of pickers. The highlight of any gathering will always be Texas. The shop, Bill, Steve and crew, the wood ,the machines ,Hill country, The lick. Joan and I are planning now for next year. Fond thoughts headed your way .Fred

Hell, seems to me with all of the "attractions" and particpants there should be 2 gatherings... The Texas Hill Country Jamboree and the Wintergrass Western Round-Up.

Yee haw. Glad I made it to the Lick...Sick that I missed O'Brien and Barnes and the rest of the picking (out of town guests).

Allen et. al.--if anyone wants to come out to the Pedernales for some picking tomorrow (11/12) email me @ gsc@skycasters.net
