Hey guys -
This has been a long time coming, but I've been looking for options. Thanks to Kevin at HCG for the tips. On the higher price end: Blair House 100 Spoke Hill Rd. Wimberley, TX 78676 512-847-1111 E-Mail: info@blairhouseinn.com Website: www.blairhouseinn.com moderate price: Mountain View Lodge mountainviewlodge.com Mountain View Motel PO Box 877 Wimberley, TX 78676-0877 512-847-2992 more affordable: Cypress Creek Cottages more affordable formerly known as The Homestead: The Homestead Cottages Bed & Breakfast 105 Scudder Lane Wimberley, TX 78676 800-918-8788 512-847-8788 E-Mail: clarka@homestead-tx.com Website: www.homestead-tx.com Reservations:www.homestead-tx.com/ci.htm Budget: http://extendedstay-austin-southwest-austin.world-hotel-network.com/ First three options are in Wimberly, where Hill Country Guitars and a couple of possible activities is located. It's a lovely town in the hill country with stuff for partners not interested in guitars to do. I think Kevin says he's about 20 minutes south of the Collings factory. Option 4, the Extended Stay, is where most of us stayed last year. It's in South Austin,. about 15 minute north of the Collings factory. Austin also will offer lots of guitar shops and music venues for us. To look at other options, scroll down to Wimberly. http://www.texasdaytripper.com/bed__breakfast_list.htm Any of the above will be a short drive from anything we do together. Maybe in a few years, as the gathering grows, we can book several rooms and a great porch at one place, and take the whole thing over. That will just take more (and earlier) committments, but it's something we ought to throw around when we're together. David David BSOB '07 |
