Allen,

You've done a tremendous amount of legwork and brainwork on this project. Thanks very much. It sounds like it's going to be great. I'm very hopeful I'll be able to work it out to come.

Any chance of the Collings Factory doing "minor" setup tweeks Friday afternoon? Just an idea...;-)

I don't think they'd have time. The few times I've had them tweak mine I dropped off on Friday morning and picked it up sometime the next week. You can ask them, but I'd be surprised if they could turn it around that fast. Especially if ten of us showed up with a guitar we wanted tweaked. Smile

Maybe no time for setup work, but you could always get Bill to make sure your strings are properly seated. that's always fun. Smile

Thought it might be a chance for the masters to take a look at some of their wayward children!

How true!! Please make sure I'm in attendence when you ask the maestro to check your strings LOL. Cheers, Will

Think I'll take a pass on that part.... though I think of proper seating every time I re-string now, to "get the sound to jump out of the guitar" properly by seating the string firmly like Bill said. I felt a little like I had disappointed a favorite teacher.

Allen,

Just a question...what type of transportation do you suggest from the Austin airport to the Inn? Does the Inn have a shuttle?

Thanks! And, thanks again for all of the work you've put into this. Have a great day!

I don't believe the Inn has a shuttle. A rental car would be your best bet.

Allen,

We're not doing anything yet with making reservations, right? I always think I might miss the most current update because of the posts I try and read. Eek I get a little cross-eyed sometimes. Ok, a lot of times.

Thanks.

I'm still waiting for the email with the details on rates and such from Wimberley Inn folks. They were supposed to get me something by early last week. I got a call from them Friday saying they'd have something to me soon. I'm still waiting. I'll give them a call tomorrow if I don't get anything today.

Okay, I've got the letter and rates from the Wimberley Inn folks. The following links are to pdf files so you will need Adobe Acrobat to read them. Sorry about that, but they sent Word docs and it was just easier to print them to pdf files than to cut and paste text here. So, read through them, call them with any questions you have and go ahead and make your reservations. If you'd like to bunk with someone else to save money you can post a message on this thread saying so and then take it to email or private messaging to work out the details.
