You mean I can't bring my Marshall stacks?

Cool

Here is a clip of Rockerbob unplugged. One of the very first recording I did with my Collings OM3C, back in early 2001.

we are not worthy! we are not worthy! (bowing down)

seriously, i can barely play that on the fiddle, let alone the guitar. i've saved it to my mp3 collection. something to aspire to ...

Bill Colling's twelve-fret slot head triple-O size guitar, made to an obsessive level of perfectionism, and sounding like wind chimes on acid, is as close to perfection as one is going to ever come in a six-string fingerstyle instrument. --Mandolin Bros Review || 000-2hss | 000-18wg | prs_c22 ||

Count me in this time. I made the first one, missed the second one. I vote for a B&B on a creek.

I think Tim O'brien is gonna be in the area a week or two later than your planned dates if it makes any difference. But the dates look fine to me.

Thanks to all of you for getting this going.

Would love to meet some of you guys and tour the facility, but October is not an opportune time to miss school. I'll just have to visit on my own during the 10-week summer break. Smile

Here's a link to the Wimberley Chamber of Commerce page for the cabins I'm thinking we might go with as the gathering HQ. Cypress Creek Cottages. I'm going to call and get some details from them this week and I'll let you know what I find out about rates and reservations and such. The thing about these cottages is that they can sleep several people so if you are so inclined you can save some $$ probably by bunking with 3 others or whatever.

Sure would be fun to meet you guys and hear your instruments. I just might be able to swing this trip, and the idea about sharing a cabin to cut down on costs is particularly appealing. Anybody interested? Maybe send me a private post so as not to muddy up the thread?

I am really up for this event, and once the dates are finalized, I will be making my plane reservations. I appreciate each of you who encouraged this here beginner to participate. I would be willing to share a cabin with any of you who don't mind sharing with a beginner...can't jam yet...but sure can smile a lot at your guitar playing...drop me an e-mail or reply on this thread...B Woods, if you end up going, I'd be happy to share a cabin...it looks like a nice place...thanks, Allen, for looking into this...Billy Boy

Okay, the dates are final. Sept 29 - Oct 2. I haven't had a chance to check on the lodging details at the cottages in Wimberley yet (I want to get down there and take a look in person), but I'll have something within the next week or so.
