The gathering is next weekend and the above schedule of events is the final one. A couple things to note for those of you NOT staying at the Wimberley Inn:

1. You can meet us at Collings at 10:30 on Friday, Sept. 30, for the factory tour.
2. We will meet Jamie Kinscherff at Hill Country Guitars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, for the tour of his shop.

For the clinics just be there when it starts if you want to participate. Also, you are more than welcome to hang around the Wimberley Inn with us and go out to eat with us if you like.

If you have any questions just sent me an email or post here.

Allen

Hey Allen. Thanks for the update. Question - what's the Guitar Clinic on Saturday at HCG?

Ace, that is supposed to be a songwriting clinic. When I talked to Kevin last weekend he was still in the process of finalizing things. He has assured me there will be something in that time slot. Smile

Can I get a headcount for the Quincy's Jam on Friday night and the Kinscherff tour Saturday? Just respond here if you are going to make it to those.

Thanks,
Allen

New strings are on, trying to knock a little of the new off them.

I'll be at both Allen.

Okay, now I need a headcount of who is going to be hanging around the Wimberley Inn Saturday night drinking beer and picking tunes with me? Smile

Man, I'm fired up! This is going to be the best gathering yet. We've got some fun things planned and I know there will be some good players here this weekend. It should be lots of fun. I've got my digital camera ready to go too so we'll be able to share it with those of you who can't join us.

Thanks for organizing Allen.

I'm leaving in a few minutes to drive from the Coast to Eugene, then fly to San Fran, then arrive in Austin tomorrow afternoon.

I installed a strap button and put in some FWI b. pins in the NEW D1ACustom Maple from Kim at about 4:30AM before I worked out and went to work. It's doesn't quite have the 'penetration' of my D1ASB and a hair less volume, but it has this awesome dry, smoothness of tone...really unique....Heck, I could get all wordy, but you can hear it in the jams...or play it, no worries. Also, I'm picking up my D2Hbraz w/ FWI from Kevin while I'm there. A nice pair of Collings and I'm happy to share...I can only play one at a time without a multi-track!

I'm staying down by 6th street at the Radisson, but if I ended up staying in Wimberley and jamming/drinking all night and sleeping on the lawn...well, I could say it was the first time in Wimberley.

Looking forward to putting some faces with what I read. Mostly, looking forward to some jamming and visiting with some great folks.

Kia Manuia,

Dale
