Just a post to say I'm obviously in and to bump this up the list.

I'm looking forward to putting real names and faces with screen names. I hope we can make this appealing to enough folks to get a good turn out.

Hi, I just "introduced" myself in the Forum Introduction thread. I live in Buda not far from the Collings factory. I would love to attend the gathering, and please let me know what I can do to help out.

Thanks!
Shawn

Count me in for October or November. The first weekend in September is my daughter's birthday. I puchased an OM3 this year from Kevin at Hill Country Guitar so this will be my first outing.

You're absolutely right, Sonoman. But unfortunately, I think there is a better chance of hell freezing over.

Anyone have any solid information about a gatering this year? I'd really like to attend and would like to start finding a decent air fare (probably about as much chance as peace in the Middle East) and begin making plans.

Thanks.

Jim

Just an update - I'm floating the weekends of November 10 - 12 or Nov. 17 - 19 to Collings.

When/If Collings agrees to a date, I'll talk some other hosts, confirm dates with them, then we'll be firm.

After that, we'll be creating a list of attendees, and look for members who would be willing to lead workshops and for any other ideas.

I plan to come. My son (an Austin based professional who plays a Collings C10 Deluxe) hopes to be there part of the time as well.

I plan to bring SN 919, my shaded top, braz/Adi Clarence White, and perhaps pick up my 00-42 koa/adi if it is done by then (hint, hint, Steve,McC).

Kevin, what a generous offer! If I don't drive, I will take you up on it. I still covet that Ray Noble OO.
