We'll meet early: 8:00 or 8:30 at the Jim's in South Austin - I'll get the address later.

10:30 Factory tour

Lunch - we'll figure it out there, maybe find a place where we can guitar swap

4:00-5:00 Clinic with Steve James
Brian at Collings is arranging snacks and non-alcoholic beverages for this event (scheduled after the factory work day). After the clinic, we're invited to stay at the factory to talk guitars with Steve and the guys from the factory.

Evening's entertainment is still open.

Kevin at Hill Country is still talking to some local musicians for Saturday.

Brian is asking for a rough head-count for the gathering. If you're coming, please post, so I can tell him. He's not worried about how many or how few, but he'd like to know. So e-mail me or post here if you're going to make it!

I plan to be there. No idea what time on Friday I'll get there, but I'm planning on coming over.

I can't remember, is there still a songwriting clinic in the works?

Oh No! Not Slime In The Ice Machine! LOL

Sorry for posting the misinformation.
There was a mention of visiting Jamie Kinscherff, but I'm open for suggestions as well. We'll see you at the Kerbey Lane Cafe. Loco Maria's on Lamar has good food and a guitar player friendly enviroment, maybe a lunch/jam there on Saturday would get the creative juices flowing for something to entertain everyone on Saturday evening. If that sounds acceptable, let me know and I'll check into it. Cheers, Will

Actually, I'm re-thinking our breakfast location. Allen reported some unsavory details and a couple of bad health department scores from that particular Jim's.

So I'm thinking Kerbey Lane - Just a few minutes from the Jim's, with a much more Austin vibe.

Click on South Lamar for a map to where we'll be.

But thanks for the research Will. By the way - any ideas for Saturday? I trust Kevin will come up with something, but there's a rumor about a new baby at his shop, and he is justifiably occupied. If nothing else, there's Gruene, Austin guitar scene, Austin/Gruene music scene. But I still think Kevin will get us in to some small shop tours. I'd love to see some one-man, all hand-made guitars...

Lunch at Loco Maria's sounds like a plan. I have hopes for Friday - songwriter workshop and a Kinscherff tour arranged by Kevin, but I haven't heard from him. I can get in touch with Kinscherff. It looks like we'll be a pretty small group, so I hope flexibility won't be a problem. If we end up in Wimberly at Hill Country Guitars, if we end up at Kinscerff, if we prowl around Austin... It's all good.

So, is Kerbey Lane on south Lamar the breakfast stop for Friday? What time?

Edit: Oops. I didn't look all the way back to the first post. I'm assuming 8:00 to 8:30 timeframe for breakfast. See y'all there.
