Just checking who out there will be attending. I'll be there on Saturday (20th), possibly playing at the Morris Guitars booth which is not too far from the Collings booth. If any of you will be around on that day, I'm willing to trade cell numbers so we could meet even just ot say hi and put a face with the name kinda thing. I'll try and take pics to share but I am sure someone else will do it too.

I know Bill & Co. will be at Buffalo Bros. on Tuesday (23rd). I heard he might have a guest with him who can REALLy play those guitars. I wish I could be there that day.

Laurence Juber and Kenny Sultan will be at the Martin area on Saturday. Mike Dowling is usually at the National booth. Michael O'Dorn will be at the D'Acquisto Strings booth.

I'm excited already.

I'll have my Collings Forum reporter's hat on my head and my camera around my neck. I'll try my best to share what I see.

Thread bump. Smile

I can't believe nobody is responding to this. I can't be the only one going to NAMM from this Forum. But that's ok if you're shy. Enjoy the show if you're going.

Ace,

Not going, but looking forward to seeing all of your pictures of the good stuff...especially big fat dreadnoughts - Collings and otherwise. And of course pics of all the Collings models...paying particular attention to the archtops on display. Wink

I was there, Ace, but I've been internet-challenged and saw this thread too late...

Usual array of fabulous guitars on the new-look Collings booth, but nothing actually new and alas no Varnishes or Vintage Nows made it to the show for me to try. Still, loved the all-hog OM and 000, the CJ41, the Baby, the s/b 01, the inevitable incredible archtop... and the semi-acoustic electrics, too. Nice to chat with all the guys too. Hope to catch up with you next year, all being well.

Peghead-
Sorry we missed each other at NAMM. Heck, we may have been standing next to each other at the Collings booth and didn't know it. The only varnish I saw was Dale's brazilian that was in the yellow case (at least on Saturday).

Interesting comment about what was in the booth. It was a "tighter" presentation to accomodate the electrics. The two "wings" of the booth that had mandos, 4 on each sidem, were almost bypassed by booth visitors. Bill and Steve were discussing the setup when I was there with them. They thought the mandos should have been located somewhere else. I even forgot to take pics of it.
