I just saw this email that was posted to the flatpick-L listserv....

Hello folks, just wanted to let you know that Collings Guitars is
presenting it's first ever guitar clinic Saturday, Feb. 21st. from 10a.m.
till 4 p.m... The event will be hosted by Bishop Violin and Trading Co. in
Fairview N.C.. Kenny Smith will be there demonstrating several different
models of guitars and also will be available to answer any questions you
might have concerning these fine instruments and his reasons for playing
them. There will be exibits of props designed to educate you in the
differences in some of the manufacturing techniques used in making these
guitars. There will be a limited number of 20 seats available so call now
and reserve your spot before they are gone! There is no charge for this
particular clinic. There will be refreshments and snacks available. For

sounds like it would be fun to be around all those guitars at once. If anyone goes give us a report, it sounds like fun.

Sounds cool, but too far away for me. Maybe they take the show on the road and do a few cities.

btw I really liked that last sound file you posted (the water is wide).....sounded great!

Hey. Thanks for the heads-up. Sounds like huge fun. This is a couple of hours away from me, and I have contacted Danny about attending; still have some logistics to work out. I'll do a report if I can bring it off.

I'll be there Saturday. Danny's got about 8-9 different Collings in stock. Taking my D-3 over so there'll be another model for folks to look at. Can't wait to get my hands on all those great guitars! Will I be able to avoid--or at least keep in obeyance--major GAS?
