Did anyone play the two MT's at the Collings booth? Both had, if my info is correct, ivoroid-bound tops, but one had a matte top, the other a gloss. I'd be very interested in your opinion of these instruments, as I may have an option to purchase one. Thanks!

B, I have some friends that were there and I'll send em a mail to see if they checked these out.
BTW, I have a gloss top MT and it is GREAT !

I got out the polish and now the back and sides are almost as shiny as the top LOL.

Thanks, Rick. I would appreciate that. I've loved the MT's I have played, so I'll probably love these ones, too, although my own taste runs to the simple look of the tortoise binding. The shop is about three hours away (6 round) and it would be nice to get some feedback about these instruments before deciding to head over that way.
