BTW Pete, I got a good friend that lives in Cary.

The F hole mandos just sound shrill to me now that I have my oval. I would like to hear what the F style oval sounds like tho.

Hey is your friend in Cary play? Always looking for folks to play with!

Pete, both Mandos have their place to me. I like the better "chop" of the F hole in a BG setting. The Oval is much fuller sounding to me, and mine at least is LOUD too. I play mostly non BG Mando, everything from old folk to Buffet. The Oval is a better match for me on most of my playing.. I'll have it at the River Fest I am playing Sunday.

My buddy Tad in Cary does indeed play and sing, and does both VERY well. You want to PM me some contact info I'll get it to him and back to you.
