You know, for the die hard Monroe fan that would be something to have, assuming it is in fact authenticated.

But me, I don't really play BG Mando (or guitar for that matter) and I would rather put that money into a full Mando or guitar with someone elses name on it.

Just me of course.

So the estimated value was $5 to 7k. It actually WENT fot $37.5k!!!!!!!!!... Not bad for a headstock overlay!

I just spent the lasthour going over all 150 items in the Christy auction. Wow! some great stuff there. Some not so famous guitars went for exactly what their vintage value was and no more. There was a '51 D18 sold for $5100...
