Anyone have a sense of how sensitive to humidity variations mandolins are? Is is a big issue like it is with guitars? More, less? Thanks.

More so. Lots of stringed instruments react to humidity changes: fret ends stick out and tops belly, etc. This usually happens gradually. My carved top mandolins are the only instruments I have ever owned that would go instantly sharp with changes in humidity.

I am not expert, but I have always been under the impression that any quality wooden stringed instrument will be sensitive to humidity. Right or wrong I use the same care with my mandolin as I do with my guitar.

My guitars definitely go out of tune with significant humidity changes.
