Though I have been known to horse trade some geetars I have had the one Mando for going on two years. About as long as I have been trying to play one. The Oval has a completely differnt "vibe" to it. Much more open and "airy" sounding to me than the MF. But less bite and chop also. When I first got it tuned up and started noodling around the word that came to mine was "lyrical". Now that may not be a description of tone or sound, but that's what I thought of. Just got the grandson back from the DQ, so maybe I can pick a bit now. DS 3 Braz 000 1 G MF Mando MT 2 O |

Trying to think, but I dont' think I have seen even a pic of one with a guard on it. Mine doesn't have one, I can attest to that.
