PC: I gave a friend a copy of Michael Cleveland's "Let 'er go boys" at blue grass camp last year. It's always fun to see the younger kids playing the BG instruments and knowing that a genre of music still continues.

I just wished that this little prodigy would look at the strings every once in awhile. And he is playing Rawhide no less.

Yes one of the tunes that I wish I could play! I really enjoyed his rocking back and forth while turning his slightly. He was really enjoying the piece. The size of the mando in relationship to his little hands and fingers. So he is 5 years old now, how old was he when he started 3 or 4 ? It's absolutely amazing. Good post. Thanks Phil

I corrected his name/age above.

I need to establish my developmental timeline for mandolin. Let's say he came out birth playing the mandolin.

Kyle- 0-------------6 = IBMA on stage with Dailey & Vincent.

Jefe- 57------------63 = ?

I bet he can't play scales as slow as I do.
