I own a Collings/Nugget Tim O'Brien varnish model. A few months ago Mike K had something posted at mandolincafe about new TOB varnished models and showed photos with new tuners (Elite with ebony buttons) and truss rod cover (ebony with inlaid pearl Tim O'Brien signature).
I haven't heard of any besides my own. Anybody else own or seen one? |

They must be few and far between. Got any pics?

How did you find yours? I might be in the market for one myself. Any clues as to where someone might track one down?

The TRC is beautiful and you can't get any better than Tom who does the inlay work...

It would be a nice gesture on Colling's part to fill us in about this model. From their standpoint (business) I understand or imagine that it's kind of a headache to constantly field inquiries about the TOB Nugget. But they do exist, and a simple "here's the deal" would be nice. We already know that they are limited, and that some of these are to be sold by Nugget, and others sold by cherished dealers.
Thanks in advance for any official news. All the Best, David Blair This message has been edited. Last edited by: David Blair, |
