Every once in a while I'll e-mail Collings or ask a dealer about a Collings oval hole A and it seems like nobody cares. I sure would like to play one some sweet day.

Maybe, next time you pay them a visit, you could accidentally take a really, really great A-4 along for the ride. Then they might see the light!

A reasonably priced oval, maybe an MT Oval would be awesome. I would not hesitate to add it to my collection.

I'm with ya all the way guys. I think a Collings oval holed mando would instantly be one of their best sellers, especially with a wider neck.

I, too, would like to see an oval hole Collings mando. I visited the factory back in May and mentioned it to Steve, but they think the market would be kind of limited. I would trade my Gibson A in a second for a mando made from Bill. Can anyone convince them to do some? Wink

I couldn't wait for Collings so I pulled the trigger on a Schneider Oval F4 with wider neck, varnish finish. Sorry Bill!

Kenny, you got a pic or two of the one you bought?
Not familiar with that name myself, but what do I know.

...wow a Collings oval, now that's an idea overdue! I wonder if Collings would consider a "custom shop" build of an A or F oval?
