It looks really good, but to be honest I have not had much time to spend with it. LJ is a good speaker and he explains what and why pretty well. He take the pieces (at least the one I started) a phrase at a time to help you work through them. I only wish they were on DVD so I could play them on my computer in my music room. Now I have to walk 20' to the media room to play the VHS tape back. I have a large screen there and LJ is life size.
BTW, it looks like a Collings OM and a Collings CJ that he's playing in the video. |

I'm not Rockerbob but I have the alternate tunings video and I really like it. I've learnt all but one of the tunes and they're quite a lot of fun to play. I don't think they're too hard compared to Bensusan's stuff but the tunes sound really good nonetheless. A friend lent me the standard tuning video and that has some very nice tunes as well. Both are well worth it in my opinion.
I find that Juber's stuff is pretty straightforward to sight-read so I can work out the tune from the tab alone and then fine-tune it by watching him play it. |
