Can anyone recommend a good DVD or instructional book/CD for the Mandolin. I can play the guitar but as for the mandolin I am upside down.

The Norman Blake DVD is good, as is the Sam Bush DVD.

But regarding the Sam Bush DVD, he is not tuned to standard pitch, which is a real pain. Unless you like retuning a lot more than I do.

Yes; actually, retuning the mandolin is my favorite part of playing the instrument, and really, all that I do on it. Cool

The Ronnie McCoury Video is great if your into that style of playing. Also any Bill Monroe stuff is great for the basics of Bluegrass
