I'm trying to come up with a list of songs to play at a picnic later this summer. It'll be a gathering of 40 year olds (my high school graduation class of 1981). So far I have

- Cheeseburger In Paradise - Buffet
- Changes In Latitude Changes In Attitude - Buffet
- A Pirate Looks at Forty - Buffet
- Margaritaville - Buffet
- Take It On The Run - REO Speedwagon
- Dust In The Wind - Kansas
- Keep Your Hands To Yourself - Georgia Satellites
- Gimme Three Steps - Lynrd Skynrd
- Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash
- Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash
- Should I Stay or Should I Go - The Clash
- Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC
- I Saw Her Standing There - The Beatles
- Set Me Free - The Fabulous Keith Lewis & Carl Walker

Can you think of anymore that might be fun? I want mostly stuff folks can sing along with. This will be unamplified, just sitting around under the shade trees type stuff. We might have a couple other folks show up with their guitar too. I'm looking for lots of songs to choose from so throw in any you can think of...

Where did that last one come from? Cool

Here are some I might try:

Happy Together
Roll Over Beethoven
Twist & Shout
Rock & Roll Music
Drift Away
Already Gone
Another Saturday Night
Come Together
Route 66
Since I fell
Take It To The Limit
You Send Me
Georgia
Crying
Crazy
Sweet Baby James
In My Life
One After Nine O Nine
Let It Be
Under The Boardwalk

Let me know if you need more ideas.

That's a pretty good list! Others?

You Ain't Goin' Nowhere

Don't Think Twice

My Baby Wrote Me A Letter

My Girl

Okie from Muskogee

Any old HanK Williams tune...

Goodnight Irene (folks love to harmonize on the chorus, and sometimes you can get folks to make up verses, like "Sometimes, she wears pajamas, sometimes she wears a gown, sometimes they're both in the laundry, and she is talk of the town.")
