I would contact Phil Elliot for that tubing.

Careful about the tubing you choose. There's vinyl (PVC), latex, EVA modified olefins, etc. Vinyl has plasticizers which are serious enemies to most finishes. There have been mentions elsewhere in the archives of this Forum about straps that ruined mandolin finishes when left against the finish for a while. Chemically, the plasticizers are one molecule away from kerosene and they will leach out of vinyl tubing. Either get it from Eliot or forget it. Smile

I believe it's colored polyethelene tubing that I have seen guys use so basically it's just a colored version of the clear tubing the capos come with. I already called and the lady who answered the phone said to check local autoparts stores, so I guess I'll just keep my eyes out.

btw, I just got the Elliott-McKinney capo for my D1SB. Holy cow what a capo! Beautifully constructed. I had the impression from some that the latch mechanism might be flimsy and hard to open, but alas it is very sturdy and very easy to use. I would highly recommend it.
