Those of you that have read over the last few weeks may recognize that I was one of the lucky few at Allen White's house to test drive that beautiful pair of CW's. Most of the fun, besides friends, music, wine and dinner, was exploring the minutiae between the guitars.

But another thought came out. One of the two guitars seemed to fit Allen's singing voice. As Victor described it, it had a scoop in the mids, so it competed less with voice. The bass and the trebs kind of cradled the singing.

Any of you others who accompany your own singing ever have any thoughts on that line? As with all other things, personal preference is huge, and each guitar is different. But does there seem to be a particular model or wood combination that makes one guitar more complimentary to singing than another?

OM1A varnish. If I'm playing just rhythm, CJA. I'm talking solo here. In a group, it depends of the rest of the instrumentation.
