I recall the Vaughn brothers do that once, but they switched left hands so that one played right for the other's left and visa-versa. That was something.

I once had a girlfriend who played guitar left-handed. We had a party trick where we’d play a ragtime tune, each fretting our own guitars, but picking the other’s.

It wasn't easy. Especially if there had been, and there usually had been, an element of drink involved...

I just sent this link to my music partner of 30 years telling him we should add this to our song list. He chose the bass part - DAMN!? That's just like him. Always takes the easy way out.
