There are two models...I don't know which one to get. Any experiences?

The fit, finish and functionality of our capos are equal. The Elliott Push Button capo has a push button top bar release, that pops up when you push the button in, then it pulls back down to snap in place. The saddle fills the botton of the capo and the guides loop around the outside of the frame. The McKinney-Elliott has a bail latch for the top bar. You pull the bail latch down and pull up the top bar. To close pull the top bar back down in the slot and pull the bail latch back up. The saddle is more narrow and shorter and the guide is on the outside bottom of the frame. We also have one with the Elliott Push Button top bar and a McKinney-Elliott saddle. It is the Hybrid, not yet on the website, and the cost is $135.00. All capo screw to tighten and loosen to the neck of the instrument. Shipping/handling is $8.50 in the USA.

That's what Phil told me. I'm still confused. Help.

I have 2 Elliott Capos, and they are both the Elliott Hybrid Model. This would be there push button model, with the saddle being narrow, and shorter, and not extending thru the body of the capo. They work great on my Collings and Martins. Last time I looked at the Elliott website they did not show the Hybrid model. It is their newest model. To me it is the easiest one to use, adjust, and is small and not a nuisance.
JMHO,YMMV,
Mike

I have an old McKinney and an Elliot. Next will be a hybrid. I like the push button.

I have two Elliots and an Elliot-McKinney. They are both great and you can not go wrong with either. With that said, I'd get the hybrid one, as its the best of both worlds (push-button release and sleeker profile).

Phil Elliot makes the best capos in the world.

+1 with the pushbutton. I have each, and overall, find myself going to that one.

I have two hybrids...one wide model for the 1 3/4 guitars and one standard for the 1 11/16. I really like the hybrids.
