For the past two weeks the small town radio station that I wake up to in the morning has been playing "Honolulu Blue". Chet is fingerpicking the song of course. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some music for some of Chets songs. Tab or whatever. I have been playing a few years, but mostly lead electric. So I am an intermediate (at best)fingerpicker. Any music you know of that could accomodate me? Thanks

Hi Paul.

Since I'm a Chet-a-holic and an active member of the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CAAS) based out of Nashville, I felt compelled to respond to your post.

The best way to learn Chet's music is to either listen to his songs by ear or get your hands on any book that's dedicated to his songs. There are tons of them on Mel Bay and other places. To help you along, here's a couple of links you might want to check out. The first one is a site a fan in Europe has. It has almost all of Chet's albums and the songs in each album. You can actually click on the song and it will play. I don't think you can download but you can play it over and over if you like. The other is the Mister Guitar site. Click your way through it as it has links and other things that might be of interest to you.

Feel free to send me a PM if you have specific questions. Good luck.
