Just wondering if anybody here has had the chance to actually play a Scott Conley guitar . Anybody know what kind of prices he charges and the quality of his work ?

Dave,

I would have to answer "NO," to both of your questions. But I know Scott slightly from my time and visits to Maine, I have heard his guitars played--clean, fresh tones with some punch and volume, and I have heard, maybe in 2006, that his philosophy at the time was to keep them affordable. Probably no help, but FWIW.

Thanks B , I'm asking because I saw that Tyler Grant has just sold a Wayne Henderson Dread on Ebay and that he'd won a Scott Conley guitar in some guitar picking contest and had fallen in love with it ! I don't know if Scott is taking orders directly or if I have to enquire through some kind of agent ,any ideas

I strongly recommend that you give Carter Ruff a call.
He lives in the same area as Scott and used to work for Dana Bourgois before going on his own about eight years ago.
I have played a guitar that Carter built and it is strongly in the Collings, Bourgois category.
