My Thompson T-1 is 1 3/4" nut and 2 5/32" bridge spacing, while my T-2 is 1 13/16" and 2 1/4" respectively.
I can really tell the difference switching 'tween them in a show, and I prefer the T2 dimensions. Thompson T1, T2, T2c |

Marc,
Expain how this works. My 000 is a 1 13/16 though I am unsure about string spacing. What does the 1 13/16 measure precisely. What should matter is the distance from 1st to 6th string. And what precisely does the string spacing measure. And do you know what it is for a 000. thanks, Stuart _________________________ Collings 000-3C (2006) Kim Walker L-00 (Nick Lucas) Martin 0-18 1923 |

As I understand it, the Nut measurement is the width, the outside dimensions of the Nut itself, while string spacing at the bridge is the distance between first and sixth strings.

Thanks,
I'll measure it and check collings site. I bought a 1 3/4 guitar and find it too narrow. I think like 1 13/16 though I don't know if I might also like 1 25/32. Stuart This message has been edited. 1 13/16. I've enjoyed 1 7/8 though much of that was dependent on the neck profile as well. Thompson T1, T2, T2c |
