I think that seller has several items for sale - all at silly prices. Consider 675,000 for a Lloyd Loar mandolin. Perhaps he just has a screw loose.

2007 Collings 000-3

I can't check it right now but the same seller has an original OM-45(?) for $3,750,000 or some such number. That is the starting bid. If it is to be bought as an investment, the buyer better be VERY young. If it's bought to play - be very careful. Smile

...and I'm trying to scratch together enough for a mere D2HG!! Seems like quite the bargain!

Let's see, for that amount, one could get about 800 new Collings guitars...say about 20 of each model they make, or close to a year's production. Hmmmm.... what should I do?.......

I don't know about you but I'd be living there all alone - my wife would disown me.

Wesley,
If you had an "extra" $3,750,000 for 800 Collings your wife might stick around. You'd probably have a house large enough that she wouldn't be tripping over them! Eek

Unless the '40 Martin comes with Hank Williams back from the dead, count me out.

Stacks of unmarked 50's. Big stacks. That price is just silly.
