I suspect that their might be a few of you guitarologists who might have compared the H&D TDM to the Rockbridge Mah/Adi dread .
Cast you helpful opinions in my general vicinity. Larry |

Owned both. Liked the Huss a lot, but I still have the Rockbridge; the Huss is long gone and I don't miss it. The Huss (to me) sounded similar to some other builders, e.g., 50s Martin, but the RB is, to me, very unique. Short scale too, if that is a plus for you.

I'm a Rockbridge dealer, so I'm obviously not impartial.
I like Huss & Daltons a lot, but I've found that I prefer their standard D-RH (rosewood/sitka) to the TD-Ms and TD-M w/Adis that I've played. At any rate, Huss & Dalton are going for vintage Martin with a slight twist, which is completely different than the Rockbridge philosophy and sound. With a Rockbridge, you've got vintage Gibson meets Martin tone, with a short scale and a different feel and sound entirely. A used H&D can be had considerably cheaper than a used RB in most cases and the H&Ds are definitely easier to find. Can't go wrong with either instrument, but a comparison of the two is really going to be apples and oranges, so figure out what you're after first of all, then pick the one that more closely fits that profile.
